We’ve been lied to. (no suprise)
“Quality over quantity” and “If you’re going to do something, do it right”
Sure, the message may have been needed back in the old days, but not anymore. We are paralyzed by the idea of creating something perfect. We are afraid of ridicule, of being shoved to the outskirts of our tribe.
The truth is, nobody really knows what they’re doing. (I know you’ve heard that before). But for some reason we aren’t letting it sink in.
That means we need to put ourselves out there a little more, create and ship more consistently, and embrace being vulnerable.
Today is thanksgiving. If you’re not reading this on thanksgiving, no problem. I challenge you anyway.
I challenge you to tell someone something that you’re thankful for today. Here’s the catch: It has to be vulnerable.
There’s strength in being vulnerable, and consistently putting yourself out there will make you stronger. It’s a win-win-win. You win, I win, and your little tribe wins.
